Meet Noyola!  Born and raised in La Cordillera, NM, just north of the small town of Mora located at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, she lived most of her adult life in Las Vegas and is one of 15 children.

 

Noyola retired from a long career working with the State of New Mexico and is a survivor of some very challenging situations. Along the way she learned how to forgive and forget because, "Life is too short.” Instead she focuses on making positive change in the world and several years ago took it upon herself to start the local chapter of the San Miguel County Federation of Democratic Women.

 

Her portrait captures the love she feels for her family and her resolve to stand up for what she believes in with all her heart.
